Penang

The family took a little vacation over the weekend to Penang to take a break and also to celebrate my dad's birthday. We did all the touristy things. I finally got a chance to go on the tram ride up Penang Hill. So ulu rite? 26 years old and I still haven't been up Penang Hill. We took a long walk in Batu Feringgi's night market and here's the best of all...we found the hotel my parents stayed at for their honeymoon!!! After 42 years, the little hotel is still there :)

We stayed at Gurney and I have to say, for the years that I have not been there...the place is quite happening. There were a few clubs in the area and even on a Sunday night, Penangites know how to party.

We took my dad to this new posh hotel that just opened 6 months ago. It's called G Hotel. Very chic and expensive looking but here's the good news, it's actually not. Buffet dinner is only RM50++ and room rates for the supposed 4 or 5 star hotel is RM210 for standard room. Not too bad. Must make mental note to take a trip to Penang and stay at that hotel.

All in all, it was a good trip for the family.

Mardi Gras vs. Zeta Bar

See...told you I'd update you. Ok, here goes...

Over the weekend, SexyIsabel invited me and SmallCyn to party down at Mardi Gras in 1U. It's been a while since I've done some partying :p

Anyway, we got there and the crowd was so so. Nothing fantastic about the place and the dancers were not oozing with sex appeal as they should have been. They were forcing it big time that I felt embarrassed for them. Not to mention, too many college kids which got me feeling pretty old! It got boring and we headed to Zeta Bar instead. Now that was fantastic! The band was great and the crowd wasn't too bad either. We partied till 3am >_<

This weekend is Penang for the family. We're celebrating Daddy's birthday there. Yay!!

Ok...going back to doing stuff with the addictive facebook!

Dear Blog,

I'm sorry I've been neglecting you. I know it's been a long while since I sat down to write anything. I can really explain.

Here's the thing, writing used to be a lot easier when there was time on my hands and I guess also because I was always early to work. Nowadays, I reach the office at 9am and it's time to start work already. Even during my free time, there are other things to do such as getting addicted to Face Book.

So I'm sorry my dear blog, but I will update you soon.

My Supposed Fun Weekend

To somehow compensate for my no life and stoning situation, I'm gonna get a DVD and help myself to the alcohol I have at home tonight. Then after that, I'll have the good rest that I want and wake up tomorrow morning for Kiara. Then the afternoon, I'll get my hair done and show it off at dinner with my ex-colleagues. I'll spend the whole of Sunday afternoon with the girls (that reminds me, can drink again!) and then go for dance class and off to celebrate my nephew's birthday.

oh wow...damn fun la my weekend -_-
